A continuation of the post-solo prog-check. First flight with Mike, who traded his Sunday morning flight with Jason to give me this prog check. Sunday morning was an excellent time to fly, as things were pretty easy-going at both Kalaeloa and HNL. Mike's another good guy, not as talkative as Al and Larry, but there was some good humor amidst the prog-checking. "I'm a bit of a stickler for check-lists" he said on the way out. I can see I need to get the habit. Ironically, it's getting easier to lend attention to additional things, whereas in the earlier flights, simply pitching for airspeed and working the radio was about it. So I can use the checklists, now that I'm more familiar with what they say... The tower at Kalaeloa had me let Mike out on the runway, so he had to walk 100 yards to the tower, and then they had me wait on the runway while he ran out. Many things happening out there, although I don't know why they had taxiways closed this morning. Hopefully they'll take the cardboard off the signs soon, so you don't get instructions like "turn left at Papa", with no indication as to which one Papa is...
